After two whole years of being in COVID-19 lockdown, it’s time to travel again!
And what better international country to travel to, than one with a touch of home right at their doorstep.
Malaysian writer and tour conductor Kamal Zharif has been living in Japan for almost nine years. Occasionally dabbling in acting jobs for Japanese production companies, his familiarity with Japanese culture is clear and distinct from his time residing there.
Kamal has recently garnered some attention on Twitter after he released a series of tweets opening the place he currently resides at to other Malaysians who are considering visiting Japan.

Located in the city of Urayasu of the Chiba prefecture, Kamal describes the property as a two-storey link house perfect for groups of three to five people
The modest property is rather unassuming outside, with unembellished fixtures and simple tones that match the atmosphere of its surroundings.

The interior of the stay maintains a clean and tidy aesthetic, with minimalist features that add to the Japanese feel while remaining comfortable.
While each room is relatively compact by the looks of the pictures, all appear to be sufficient for travellers who are on the go and ready to see what Japan has to offer. Basic essentials are provided, which include electric kettles, bedding, tabletop fans for ventilation, and WiFi coverage.

One shower and bathroom is present at the complex, so visitors will have to share the amenity for their stay.
There’s a stocked kitchenette area with a working microwave, fridge, and gas stove if you feel like making a simple meal. There’s also a neat laundry area, so you won’t need to worry about where to get your clothes sorted.

Depending on the room of selection, prices range anywhere between JPY1,500 to JPY2,000 per night (approximately RM48 to RM65)
The prices are an absolute steal for Malaysians looking to travel on a budget!
Convenient for those looking to head to the city, Kamal mentions that the property is close to the Tokyo Metro subway, which rides along the Tozai line to take tourists to Tokyo in give or take 30 minutes.
A direct bus route is also located near the link house. Known as the Kasai Station, the bus will be able to transport passengers to the Narita International Airport, making it a one stop drop for travellers.
