Established by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), InvestSmart is their investor education initiative to increase Malaysians’ financial and investment literacy. Its aim is to create more informed investors who are self-reliant and are able to make investment decisions that are right for them.
Since its launch in 2014, InvestSmart has actively carried out various initiatives to reach out to a wide spectrum of Malaysians throughout the nation, educating them on a range of investment related topics.
Happening this Friday, InvestSmart Fest is the SC’s annual flagship investor education event, which is supported by Bursa Malaysia, the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia, Financial Planning Association of Malaysia, and Malaysian Financial Planning Council.
In addition, they also have other initiatives like Bersama InvestSmart @ Borneo, Agen Bijak Labur Desa (ABJAD), SC-in-the-Community, talks, and online educational game Jump2Invest, as well as the InvestSmart website, mobile app, and social media platforms.
In conjunction with the Financial Literacy Month 2022 and World Investor Week 2022, this year’s edition of InvestSmart Fest is themed Silap Labur Duit Lebur and aims to remind the public to be vigilant when making investment decisions

Time: 10am – 10pm
Venue: Hall 5, KL Convention Centre
Admission: FREE!
At the event, you’ll be able to attend panel discussions and speaking sessions by industry experts to gain knowledge on capital market products and services. More importantly, you can learn to recognise the red flags of investment scams and illegal activities in the market.
Plus, there will also be 40 exhibitors you can engage with to gain a better understanding of their products and services.
All this will help you learn how to make informed investment decisions and avoid falling prey to scams.
InvestSmart Fest 2022 will bring together capital market institutions, associations, industry players, and relevant agencies under one roof

The three-day event will showcase products and services offered by capital market intermediaries, including stocks, bonds, unit trusts, private retirement schemes (PRS), exchange-traded funds (ETF), equity crowdfunding (ECF), peer-to-peer financing (P2P), digital investment management (DIM), and digital asset exchanges (DAX).
There will be talks, panel discussions, and fireside chats by leading industry experts to share their insights on the Malaysian capital market and investment opportunities available.

Under the #FinPlan4u initiative, complimentary financial planning consultation sessions is something that is always offered at InvestSmart Fest. This year, both virtual and physical sessions are available.
There will be 30 virtual sessions between 11 to 13 October and over 580 one-to-one sessions during the event on a first come, first served basis.
