Raja Koduri Teases Internet; Releases New Pictures of Intel Xe-HP GPUs

Back in June, Raja Koduri, Chief Architect for GPUs at Intel, gave the world its first glimpse of his company’s Xe GPUs, otherwise referred to as his “Big Fabulous Package”. Recently, the man released another teaser image, showcasing the Xe-HP GPUs that are already being sampled by Intel’s customers.

As you can see from the image below, the image shows a total of three GPUs, but lacks any specific details about their specifications or its prowess. As per Tom’s Hardware’s observations, the card on the left looks a lot like an add-in card (AIC), while the card labelled XG310 shares a similar look. Albeit with an exposed power port at its corner. Koduri’s tweet does make one thing clear: the cards are datacentre GPUs and not for general consumption of consumers.

Regardless of model, all the cards are based on Intel’s 10nm SuperFin manufacturing process. To date, the cards are also being used within the Aurora supercomputer, an exascale-class supercomputer that is expected to be completed by 2021.

At the time of writing, Intel did not share any further details about the cards, neither did it mention anything about its consumer-grade Xe GPUs.
