According to a viral post published yesterday, 19 April, by Facebook page ??Paul-238 — a page dedicated to posting winnings observed at casinos — photos show a mystery person playing baccarat at table ‘MBV02’, which has a minimum and maximum buy-in between RM1,000 and RM300,000.

The display screen of the game indicated in Chinese characters that the game was indeed held in a casino at Genting Highlands, with a message ticker that read, “Gold card special reward: Earn Genting points at the same time while…”

At the time the photo was taken, the banker (dealer) had won 47 baccarat coups, players had won 15, and five games were tied.

“Someone took home RM5 million from Genting.”

In another photo, the chips that the player has are estimated to be worth around RM7 million.

China Press reported that the player is believed to have started with an initial capital of RM2 million.

The Chinese daily mentioned that the player is likely to be playing at a very important person (VIP) table, which allows bets up to RM300,000.

It is possible for the player to win up to RM5 million if they placed bets between RM20,000 and RM30,000 in every round.

Based on a rough calculation, China Press reported that the player can win the colossal amount if they won more than 20 games in a row.

The third photo in the post shows the corner of a bed covered with a stack of money in RM50 and RM100 denominations.

Many netizens were amused by the mystery player’s wins.

“I am jealous. I will be content if you let me win RM500,” read a comment.

“Maybe this is [a] Genting marketing post,” a Facebook user said in jest.

Some people suspected that the post could be fake because the amount of money shown in the photo was too little.

“The money here is at most RM2 million. How to get down (of Genting Highlands) if you won RM5 million. It’s too fake,” a person claimed.

“Can you get cash for RM5 million? Genting should have written a check,” a netizen added.

SAYS has reached out to ??Paul-238 for more information about the mystery player’s wins but did not immediately receive a response.
