Malaysia’s daily Covid-19 cases stay below 10,000 mark for third consecutive day

UALA LUMPUR, Oct 5 — Daily Covid-19 cases in Malaysia ticked up slightly to 8,817 cases today, from yesterday’s 8,075 cases, but the figure also means the country has seen cases below the five figures for the third day in a row.

Cases were still high in Selangor (1,348 cases), Sarawak (1,361 cases) and Kelantan (1,063 cases), which represented the top three most infectious states in the last 24-hour period.

Johor (886 cases), Sabah (805 cases) and Pahang (696 cases) rounded off the top six.

Labuan had the least number of cases at three.
