This screen grab taken from video footage released by Ansarullah Media Centre on October 7, 2026 shows a fighter affiliated with the Houthi authorities firing his machine gun as they advance against Saudi-backed Yemeni government troops in Taiz Governorate, according to Houthi media. Saudi authorities said on October 7 three people were killed in attacks on two of the kingdom's international airports, including in the capital Riyadh, after Yemen's Houthis claimed to have fired on both transport hubs. The Iran-backed Houthi authorities have claimed a wave of attacks on Saudi civilian infrastructure in recent weeks, which came as Riyadh-backed forces pressed a counter-offensive against the group's territorial gains. — Ansarullah handout via AFP
