Kafe Nasi Beriani Gam Putrajaya in Kajang serves up a tasty plate of this all-time favourite.

Sometimes, when you have a nagging craving, it must be satisfied even if it means driving that extra mile to a far-off location.

One such spot worth burning some fuel for is Kafe Nasi Beriani Gam Putrajaya in Kajang.

Getting there can be a bit tricky as the restaurant is located right beside the SKVE, and you can only get onto the SKVE from the restaurant but not the other way around.

However, if you have the handy Waze beside you, you’ll get there safe and sound.

Kafe Nasi Beriani Gam Putrajaya is an upgraded, covered roadside set-up with ceiling fans, though be prepared to sweat it out on a hot afternoon.

Ordering is simple – get your plate of nasi beriani, then select your preferred choice of meat.

You can choose any of the following – ayam biasa (regular chicken), ayam kampung, daging (beef), kambing (lamb) and the very special kambing kuzi.

Lamb or chicken, what’s your pleasure?

The beriani rice itself is perfectly cooked, fragrant and delicious enough to eat on its own with a little serving of curry.

The kambing kuzi is super tender with a rather heavy tasting, somewhat sweetish marinade that complements the rice perfectly. The accompanying sambal is on point too.

Expect to pay about RM20 or more per person, but if you’re a true nasi beriani lover, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

Kambing kuzi, hands down the favourite.
