Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz has announced that Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) will be handing out discounts from 1 November 2022 to 30 April 2023
During the announcement of Budget 2023 today, 7 October, Zafrul announced that PTPTN holders who pay back their loans in full between the specified period will receive a 20% discount on their loans.
Those who pay back at least 50% of their loans will receive a discount of 15%, and those who pay their loans through their salary or auto-debit will be entitled to a 15% discount.

Additionally, PTPTN students who graduate from their degree programme with first-class honours will be exempted from loan payments
