A woman recently witnessed a touching moment while she was having breakfast at a mamak near University Hospital, KL

In a Facebook post on The MAKAN Club, Gillian Loh wrote that she was waiting for her mother to collect her medication from the hospital when she noticed mamak waiters serving two blind customers.

“A couple of young blind Indian men came and sat at the next table and immediately the workers came to talk to them, asking where they’re from and what they wanted to eat, all in Tamil (but there were some Malay words used hence I caught whatever I understood),” she wrote.

Loh captured the moment, which appears to have taken place at Sri Seenu Restaurant – formerly known as Sri Paandi – in Section 11, Petaling Jaya.

According to her, the waiters kept “bringing them [the blind men] food, refilling their plates, chatting with them, offering them drinks, all with a smile that you can see from their eyes behind the masks”

“My heart is so full witnessing this beautiful sharing where #kitajagakita takes on a whole new beautiful meaning,” she added in the caption.

Likewise, people on the Internet also appreciated the genuine actions of the workers.
