Whether you’re stopping by on the way to Cameron Highlands, Ipoh, or just want a mini trip, Lubuk Timah Hot Spring (Pusat Rekreasi Lubuk Timah) is an enjoyable place for both young and old.

The waterfall itself is next to a dam at the top of a hill, and it can get pretty aggressive during the monsoon season. The dam will overflow during this time, forming what some call ‘mini Niagara Falls’.

The waters are usually pristine throughout the year, except when it rains and it gets slightly murkier.

According to Ipoh Echo, the dam was originally built to generate electricity for tin mining during the British colonial area. It was eventually abandoned prior to it becoming a recreational centre today.

One unique feature about the park is that there are several small, shallow hot spring pools located next to the stream. So you and your family can enjoy the best of both worlds!

The ATVs are specifically for kids, while the two miniature horses available for riding are also said to be only for children due to their small stature.

Although you can just spend the whole day here, there are options to stay longer with several chalets in the area to rent.

You can also rent a gazebo for the day for around RM50 to RM70 each. They are located next to the stream, and each one comes with a fan and two plug points.

Optionally, there are pondoks for RM10 each. Parking lots, public restrooms, and prayer rooms are also available.

Admission ticket prices are as follows:
– RM5 per adult
– RM3 per child
– RM3 per senior citizen (aged 60 and above)

Please keep the premises clean at all times and leave nothing but footprints behind.
