Remember how Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) teased the world with plans to build its own gaming console? Well, it seems the fast-food chain is following through with its promise and officially bringing the chicken chamber cum gaming desktop PC to life as the aptly named KFConsole.
Originally expected to launch earlier in November, KFC reportedly delayed the launch, but didn’t specify a new date. Let’s be clear; yes, the KFConsole does feature a chamber designed to store chicken, and yes: it is also a full fledged desktop gaming PC, and a high-end variant too, judging from its supposed specs.

The chassis seems to have been made in collaboration with Cooler Master, a point many reports are concluding based on KFC’s tagging of the PC casing brand on its official Twitter account. Specifically, the casing is based off a modified MasterCase NC100. Internally, the system is powered by an Intel NUC 9 Extreme Compute Element, presumably one with the Core i9-9980HK CPU, as well as an ASUS-branded GeForce RTX GPU, although it is unclear which generation it is. Oh, and there’s also a 1TB NVMe SSD, courtesy of Seagate.
In regards to the chamber, it’s also an integral part of the system, with the PC’s cooling solution playing a dual role of keeping the components cool and the chicken placed within it warm with the heat generated from it.
It goes without saying that it’s unlikely that the KFConsole will ever make it to our shores, but we’re guessing that it’s heaven for those who love the smell and taste of that secret blend of 11 herbs and spices.
