Following its global launch in November, Samsung has now begun accepting pre-orders for its Smart Monitor Series in Malaysia. To those who are no familiar with this monitor, the “Smart” part in its name is referring to its built-in Tizen operating system.
Claimed to be the first of its kind, the operating system allows the Wi-Fi enabled monitors under the series to deliver several functionalities without even the need to plug them in into a PC. One such example is the access to streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime Video via the apps within Smart Hub.
Additionally, users can also view, edit, and save their Office365 documents directly through Smart Monitor Series. Alongside native support for Wireless DeX, models under the series also come with Remote Access feature that allows users to wirelessly connect to other PC within their premise.
In Malaysia, the Smart Monitor currently available in three variants including the 32-inch M7 with 4K resolution that is priced at RM 1999. There is also the M5 Full HD models which can be obtained in 32-inch and 27-inch screen sizes for RM 1299 and RM 1099.
However, as part of their pre-order promotion, these new Smart Monitors can be obtained at slightly lower priced of RM 1599, RM 1099, and RM 899, respectively until 19 December.
