The stall in the video belongs to a yong tau foo seller who suffered a loss of RM800.
Their canopy was destroyed and many of their food items fell to the ground.
According to Sinar Harian, 29-year-old Fatin Amalina Zulkifli was manning the stall with her mother and sister yesterday.
She said, “To say that we were traumatised, maybe not. But we were shocked because it all happened so quickly. We just arranged the items and had not even sold anything yet when our canopy was blown away by strong winds.”
“At that moment, we saw that the weather was gloomy but did not expect it to have been that bad. Several other vendors also faced the same situation, some managed to save their items but we were drenched and just went home.”

Many netizens showed their sympathy and urged others to support Fatin’s business
One person wrote, “Whoever’s in the area, go and support them tomorrow. Feel sorry seeing this. May everything be eased.”

Another netizen said, “Oh my, I feel so sorry. Rain is fine but if the food has spilt and all, even though I’m only watching I already feel like crying.”

One user caught the vendor’s phone number from the video. They wrote, “The seller’s number is there on the banner. Can try contacting them if you’d like to help. 012-3458955.”
