On Thursday, 30 September, police once again summoned Ustaz Ebit Lew to facilitate investigations into sexual harassment allegations

The celebrity preacher cum philanthropist along with his wife was summoned to have their statements taken at federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman, reported New Straits Times yesterday, 1 October.

According to the report, which identified the preacher by his full name, Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lew, Bukit Aman CID director Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan advised the public to not issue any statements.

“The public has been advised to not issue any statements or spread any materials on any platforms to avoid speculation and provocation (over the case), which could jeopardise the investigation,” he said.

Ebit was first summoned to Bukit Aman on 19 August

The report also stated that police confirmed that a team was deployed to search the preacher’s residence.
