Nokia PureBook X14 Goes Official In India: A Mid-Range Lightweight Laptop with 10th Gen Intel Core Processor

In Malaysia, Nokia is known as a mobile phone brand. However, things are slightly different in some markets whereby the brand is also being used for other products such as smart TV, and media streaming box. Now, Nokia is also a laptop brand.

After teasing it for the past few weeks, the Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart today has officially unveiled the Nokia PureBook X14 which is essentially a mid-range Windows laptop with a focus on mobility due to its lightweight nature. Featuring a magnesium-aluminium chassis, the 1.1kg laptop is powered by Intel Core i5-10210U which is an interesting choice since 11th Gen Intel Core processors have already been made available to manufacturers.

The PureBook X14 is also equipped with a 14-inch Full HD IPS display that has Dolby Vision support alongside 8GB DDR4-2666 RAM and 512GB solid state drive. Alongside that, the laptop also comes with Dolby Atmos audio enhancement for headphones.

We don’t expect the PureBook X14 to be released into Malaysia anytime soon since it is conceived by Flipkart instead of HMD Global who owned the licensing deal for mobile phones. Still, the new laptop carries a price tag of INR 59,990 (~RM 3,305) for those who are curious about its price tag.

Nokia Lumia 2520: launched in 2013.

This is not the first time that Nokia’s name has been attached to a laptop although the Booklet 3G that was released in 2009 is the brainchild of Nokia Corporation itself. Furthermore, the Booklet is a netbook instead of a full-fledged laptop.

Not to forget, there was also the Lumia 2520 that the company launched in 2013. Then again, the tablet was running on Windows RT which was not well-received by consumers, in general.
