Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Faizal Azumu has announced that gyms have finally been allowed to resume operations
In a tweet last night, Faizal shared an update of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the National Security Council (MKN) with regards to indoor sports and recreation facilities.

The facilities are only open to those who are fully vaccinated, and in states under Phase 2 and 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP)
According to the SOPs, all indoor sports and recreation facilities are allowed to operate at 50% capacity and under close supervision.
Workers attendance should not be more than 60% of the workforce including management and operational staff for Phase 2, and 80% for Phase 3 of the NRP.
While only fully vaccinated people are allowed to use the facilities, they are permitted to bring along their children aged 17 years and below for such activities with strict SOPs compliance.
