HONOR has been quiet regarding its new products, especially the upcoming V40 (aka View40) flagship smartphone that is rumoured to launch in January. Thankfully, a recent leak may have provided us with a glimpse of the phone’s design.
According to a report by RootMyGalaxy, photos of the HONOR V40 recently surfaced online on Weibo which showcased its front and rear features. The images reveal that the new HONOR flagship sports a curved display with a pill-shaped selfie camera cutout on the top left corner. Meanwhile, on its back is a quad camera array housed in a circular island featuring a watch-like dial.
The website believes that the V40 may come with a FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and a battery that supports 66W fast charging, while its rear camera setup may feature a 50MP primary sensor. As for its chipset, earlier rumours suggested the new HONOR phone could come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC.
Provided that the HONOR V40’s January launch date is accurate, we should be expecting an official announcement from the company soon. Hopefully we’ll learn more about the company’s new flagship phone when the time comes.
