Hasni said the land border crossing will open on the same day with air travel between Changi Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to allow quarantine-free travel between Singapore and Malaysia.
The move is being done under the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL).
“I have good news to share. We have been in constant communication with the respective authorities and the federal government, and the state has been confirmed that land travel will happen on 29 November,” he was quoted as saying by Bernama yesterday, 18 November.
Meanwhile, Hasni said that next year will be a year of optimism and growth for all the economic sectors in Johor, hoping that the state will do a quick rebound in the gross domestic product (GDP).
He also hoped that there will be a decline in the unemployment rate.
