However, almost 960,000 SMEs in Malaysia have been affected over the past two years – some businesses even went bankrupt during this period. Nevertheless, seeing how crucial SMEs are to the nation’s economy, it’s important for them to rise and be competitive once again.

The two-day forum, which will be held on 14 and 15 October, brings together industry experts who are knowledgeable in the SME industry and understand the realities these businesses face.

Here’s a look at some of the panelists for the forum:
– Mahadhir Aziz, CEO of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)
– Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abd Razak, Head of Sales & Business Account Management Celcom Axiata Berhad
– Farizal Zainudin, CFO of Bukit Bintang City Center (BBCC)
– Rizal Nainy, CEO of SME Corp Malaysia

During the forum, they will discuss things that business owners can implement, as well as incentives they can benefit from, to further the SME revitalisation process in Malaysia. There will be a total of five forum sessions, in which you can participate by asking questions, sharing your experiences, or leaving comments.

“The digitisation of business operations has become a necessity for SMEs to remain strong and competitive in the ever-changing global business environment with technological developments.

“As the country’s digital economy leader, MDEC is ready to support the digital transformation of SMEs in Malaysia through various initiatives under the #SayaDigital campaign, which is in line with the Malaysian Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL),” said Mahadhir Aziz, CEO of MDEC.

They will share their experiences of running a business, including the ups and downs, as well as how they overcame their struggles.

Also present will be Muhd Firdaus Azharuddin, CEO of the National Entrepreneurship Institute, Datuk Ameer Ali Mydin, President of the Bumiputera Retailers Association (BRO), and other industry leaders.

Once you’ve signed up, make sure you tune in to the live broadcast on 14 and 15 October!
