A 28-year-old man was found dead with injuries on his hands and right leg at his rented home in Pasir Gudang, Johor on Sunday, 5 September
According to Kosmo!, Seri Alam police chief Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the police were informed about the incident at 7.35am the same day.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the man was believed to have lost his temper at the Taman Scientex mosque near his home when he noticed the mosque door was closed after Isyak prayer time.
“The victim punched the door of the mosque’s glass door until it broke, causing his hands to be covered in blood. There were traces of bloodstains on the floor of the mosque,” Sohaimi said.
“A closed circuit television (CCTV) camera check found that the man punched the glass door twice until it broke.”

The victim’s sister told the police that he was believed to be suffering from depression as he could not visit his family in Kuala Berang, Terengganu for the past six months
Sohaimi said the victim’s sister lived in the Desa Cemerlang area, some 20km away from where the victim lived in Taman Scientex.
He lived with two friends there, reported Bernama.

“The post-mortem found that the cause of death was severe wounding to the right wrist, (and) severed blood vessels and tendons. [They were] believed to be sustained when he smashed the glass door,” Sohaimi said.
He said the case has been classified as sudden death.
