Two local men were killed and another was injured when a crane collapsed at a factory in the Kampung Acheh industrial area, Sitiawan, Perak, yesterday, 31 October
According to Bernama, a Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received a report about a collapsed crane that killed Abdul Rajim Hasmki, 33, and Maiyden Asibin, 29, at 4.58pm.
Meanwhile, Mosed Alinid, 34, was injured.
“A heavy industrial crane had collapsed during dismantling, which resulted in three victims being trapped,” the spokesman said in a statement.
The rescuers who arrived at the scene extracted the victims using special equipment with the help of cranes.

According to the spokesman, the injured man was given to medical personnel for further treatment, while the remains of the deceased were given to the police.
The operation ended at 10.55pm yesterday.
Bernama reported Perak police chief Datuk Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri as saying today, 1 November, that industrial operations at the scene have been temporarily halted until the investigation into the incident is completed.
