The tenure of the scholarship is five years, except for Medicine and Dentistry degrees which are seven years, inclusive of a one-year intensive Japanese language course.
Although the amount is subject to change, the embassy said recipients will receive a monthly stipend of JPY117,000 (RM4,000).

– Natural Sciences B (such as Agriculture, Agricultural Chemistry, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Forestry, Food Science, Fisheries, Pharmacy, Hygienic, Nursing, and Biology)
– Natural Science C (such as Medicine and Dentistry)
