1. Tirai Waterfalls, Kedah
Hidden deep in the jungle of Jitra, Kedah is Tirah Waterfalls — a 50-metre tall majestic cascade that many do not know of.
As the location offers marvellous waterfall views, Malaysians who visit opt to set up a camping or picnic site to spend their day. Additionally, there are also local group excursions that will hike to the peak of the waterfall for an abseiling activity.
The waterfall is about 10km away from Surau Wang Perah, and is only accessible via four-wheel drive. Upon reaching the waterfall, a short hiking trail will take you to the site.

Not to be confused with the waterfall of the same name in Perak, Lata Kinjang Waterfall is located on the slopes of Gunung Hantu Besar in Negeri Sembilan. As it’s a horsetail waterfall that spans about 100 meters, Lata Kinjang Waterfall is one of the tallest cascades in Malaysia. If you’re travelling with family and friends, the waterfall is a beautiful place to spend the day together, where you can take a dip in the pool and have a simple picnic afterwards.
For a safe journey, it’s also recommended to travel with a 4WD. To get there, you’ll need to head Kenaboi Forest Reserve guardhouse. After the guardhouse, it’ll be about a 20-minute drive to the waterfall, where roads will start to get bumpy with lots of potholes.
