Following their unveiling at Apple’s “One More Thing” event a month ago, the company has now begun accepting orders for the M1 variant of 13-inch MacBook Air in Malaysia today. Similarly, Malaysian consumers are also able to get their hands on the M1-powered 13-inch MacBook Pro and Mac mini.
As mentioned before, the MacBook Air M1 has a starting price for RM 4399 in Malaysia. For that price tag, the laptop comes with 8GB unified memory, 7-core GPU, and 256GB solid state drive while customers can also choose to obtain up to 16GB unified memory, 8-core GPU, and 2TB which would maxed-out its price to RM 8599.
Meanwhile, the M1 chip on the 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with 8-core GPU as standard. The base model which is equipped with 8GB memory and 256GB SSD goes for RM 5599 while the maxed-out option with 16GB memory and 2TB SSD is priced at RM 9599.
The same also applies for the Mac mini M1 which may have been made in Malaysia. Customers can get their hands on the base model with 8GB memory and 256GB SSD for RM 2999 and can go all the way up to the fully souped-up variant with 16GB memory and 2TB SSD for RM 6999.
Available for purchase through Apple Malaysia’s website right away, that means these new M1 Macs should be making their debut at Authorized Apple Resellers and reputable consumer electronic retailers throughout the country shortly.
