Not sure which dashcam to get for your vehicle?
The Malaysian Institute Of Road Safety Research (MIROS) partnered up with Cybersecurity Malaysia to release a scoring metric that can help people to better choose their dashcams.
The scoring metric is called ‘CamScore’ or ‘Dashcam Safety Score Card’, and it rates dashcams through three fundamental pillars — basic features, advanced features, and Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS).
Additionally, out of 40 dashcams that underwent MIROS’ CamScore scoring metric, only five models successfully garnered the full five-star rating.

On the pricier end for a dashcam, the Thinkware U1000 features an array of premium features. This includes a front camera that can choose between 2K QHD 60fps to 4K UHD 30fps, real-time impact detection that records accidents as it happens, continuous recording, as well as night vision that can showcase videos clearly even at night.
